Dr. Shondeep Sarkar Memorial Scholarship
The ACI Houston Chapter has endowed a scholarship at
Texas A&M University in honor of Dr. Shondeep Sarkar. The scholarship
will be awarded annually to a full-time student in good standing who is pursuing
an undergraduate degree in civil engineering at Texas A&M
University in College Station, Texas.

Memoriam
President of the Houston Chapter of
ACI and a long time friend of many in
the industry, Dr. Shondeep L. Sarkar died on July 29, 2004.
Shondeep's untimely death shocked fellow friends and professionals
around the world. Shondeep was a tireless worker in his quest to
educate others and to increase and disseminate his knowledge of concrete and
concrete technology. His presence will be deeply
missed by the community in w hich he was such an active
participant.
